White House May Update
Hi Folks!
Here we are in the second week of May! The warm weather is upon us (most of the time) and we are excited to kick off the summer! Get those cookouts planned and we’ll supply everything you need. We’ve got an endless supply of barbeque sauces and marinades, with a flavor for every taste! Grab some beef or chicken from our freezer and let the grillin’ begin! Speaking of grilling, have you ever tried grilling asparagus? We are into the peak of our homegrown asparagus season! We’ve got green and purple. A fun fact about homegrown asparagus is the thicker the spear, the higher the quality! So grab some today and throw it on the grill. Something else to try, wrap a small bundle of asparagus in some bacon and grill it! The combination of flavors is amazing! Give it a whirl!
We also have our own rhubarb. We will have it off and on for the month, so to find out if we currently have it, just give us a call out at the farm (330-533-4161). Stay tuned to the web and the phone also when it comes to strawberries! We are just waiting to see when they will begin to bloom, so we will keep you updated on Facebook as well as the voicemail.
